Create Your Project

To list a project on GrantFox, maintainers must first connect their GitHubarrow-up-right account. GrantFox works directly with GitHub to sync repositories, issues, and pull requests, so this step is required to ensure accurate and transparent collaboration.

Connect your GitHub repository

Once your GitHub account is connected, GrantFox will display the projects you have access to. From there, you can select the one you want to onboard to the platform.

This allows GrantFox to:

  • sync issues and pull requests automatically.

  • keep project activity up to date.

  • ensure contributors are working on real, active repositories.

Complete the project application form

After selecting your repository, you’ll be asked to complete a project application form.

This form helps the GrantFox team and community better understand your project by asking about:

  • the project’s purpose and background.

  • its current state and traction

  • what kind of contributions you’re looking for

  • why the project is a good fit for GrantFox

  • and more.

The goal is to ensure that projects on GrantFox are serious, active, and open to growth, rather than farming or closed-off initiatives.

Review and approval process

Once you submit the form, your project enters a review phase. The GrantFox team will evaluate the information provided to determine whether the project is a good fit for the platform.

After the review, your project will be:

  • Approved, allowing it to become visible and start receiving contributions, or

  • Rejected, with feedback explaining the decision when applicable

This process helps maintain a high-quality ecosystem where contributors can trust the projects they choose to work on.
